CHERYL LYNN ®

     Cheryl Lynn Ingberg, a long time resident of Loon Lake in the Vergas area, is a jewelry artist specializing in sterling silver and other metals. She apprenticed with professional gold and silversmiths at a very young age and has designed her jewelry with genuine stones, pearls and other natural materials for over 40 years.

     In 1976 Cheryl Lynn, as she is now professionally known moved to Vergas to be closer to family and friends. She set up a jewelry studio in her home on Elm Street, opened a gift shop in Detroit Lakes and participated in the local art fairs. Vergas was a wonderful community to be living in, but to get more exposure to her jewelry she began traveling to other parts of the country to show her work. She gravitated to the Minneapolis art community where she lived and worked for several years earning awards for her distinctive designs. In the winter of 1990, she began showing her work in Arizona where she eventually set up a studio.

     In 1997, Cheryl Lynn decided to return to the Vergas area and spend time at her cabin. Needing an outlet for her creative energies, she opened a boutique at The Shady Hollow Market selling her handcrafted jewelry along with unique apparel, accessories and more. Cheryl Lynn was an instant success and opened the doors for other specialty shops to participate at the market. Cheryl extended her business to a second location in Vergas located at 110 South Railway Avenue. Her shops attract many local people along with customers from around the country that visit the lakes to check out all the unique businesses that thrive there.
